National Road 41 is the economic artery of four Province

On the morning of December 26, 2022, under the presidency of Samdech Techo Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, The construction of National Road 41 was announced from Thnalttung (Intersection point of National Road 4) Kandal Province up to Chum Kiri district (Intersection point of National Road 3) Kampot province.

His Excellency Senior Minister Sun Chanthol Minister for Public Works and Transport, National Road No. 41 is an important economic artery through four provinces, including Kandal, Kampong Speu, Takeo, and Kampot as well as connecting to major international ports such as Kampot Multi-Purpose Port and the logistics center. Construction of the new tourist ports in Kep-Koh Tonsay and Kampot Provincial, which are connected to the provinces of Sihanoukville, Kep, and Kampot via National Roads 3, 4, and 31.

The 95.27 km wide National Road No. 41 Rehabilitation and Upgrading Project will be constructed as a 5 cm thick AC Rubber concrete road and increased to a 12 m width. This project will add other artistic constructions, including the expansion of 1 old bridge with a total length of 200 meters, and the installation of 315 sewers of all kinds, equipped with 8-speed cameras, including traffic signs, milestones, also traffic Safety poles.

According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. This project, expected to be completed in 2026, will be carried out by the China Bridge and Road Corporation (CRBC) and technically supervised by Guangzhou Wanan Technical Consulting. It is planned to spend a total of more than 67 million US dollars in concessional loans from the Government of the People's Republic of China, together with the contribution of the Royal Government of Cambodia for the settlement of various impacts and taxes.
